7th IEEE and ACM International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality - ISMAR 2008

The seventh IEEE and ACM International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented reality will be held in Cambridge UK from the 15-18th of September 2008.

Registration for ISMAR 2008 is now open.

There are now more en-suite rooms available at St. Catharine's College. While the en-suite rooms at Sidney Sussex are fully booked, we are happy to be able to offer more en-suite rooms at a second college. These rooms can be booked through the same registration form as the conference registration. There is also detailed information about the college on the local accommodation page.

Mixed Reality (MR) and Augmented Reality (AR) allow the creation of fascinating new types of user interfaces, and are beginning to show significant impact on industry and society. The field is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together signal processing, computer vision, computer graphics, user interfaces, human factors, wearable computing, mobile computing, computer networks, displays, sensors, to name just some of the most important influences. MR/AR concepts are applicable to a wide range of applications.
